Daniel is street-side tailor who now makes masks for a living

Daniel is a street-side tailor. The sort of person who gets your clothes altered or mends them, for a small fee.

His perch is in a shaded space near the MRTS station called Sri Mundagakanni Amman Station in Mylapore.

Today, Daniel is making the most of the lockdown condition. His usual job works are down to a trickle so he has begun making cotton masks and sells them for forty rupees. He has hung a few on a line near his perch.

“I will make ten rupees out of every sale and that will keep me going, ” he says.
