Jointly initiated by www.shaivam.org (on FB: shaivamorg) and Alavaay Arakattalai, a Trust that supports Odhuvars, this is one aspect of the temple’s panguni utsavam which devotees have been able to enjoy the past few days.
Odhuvar singing sessions were organised and streamed online using the Odhuvar’s own mobile phones from their respective villages.
Every day, over 10 days, an odhuvar presented for two hours from the respective Thirumurai. The online recital session concluded last Sunday evening with a two hour recital between 5pm and 7pm.
Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple’s Odhuvar Sargurunathan’s presentation of the 8th Thirumurai earlier that week attracted some 35000 online viewers. ( he is seen in the photo)
A presentation of Thiru Gnana Sambandar’s Padhigam was lined up – both in the morning and evening for two hours.
