Abiramapuram residents said on Thursday evening that a resident in a new apartment block at the east end of Abiramapuram 4th Street has tested positive.
This residence is near the Warren Road junction side.
Abiramapuram 4th Street at the east end has been cordoned off at C. P. Ramaswamy Street junction.
This zone in the Visalakshmi Thottam area has now become a hotspot containment zone.
Barricades have been erected and area is being sanitised.
