Karuppiah Pet Paradise to start their pet grooming services from June 1

Karuppiah Pet Paradise had closed down their pet bath and grooming service when the lockdown was announced. They are however, planning to open it from June 1.

Raghavi Muthuraman, a staff there says, “During the summer, our customers usually bring in their pets for a bath every ten days. We have been getting a lot of enquiries about that and so we decided to start our grooming services. We also clean the pet’s ears and cut the nails while giving them a bath. Tick baths are in demand during summer and we offer that too. A normal bath is priced at Rs. 400, a tick bath at Rs. 450”.

Hair fall and loss of appetite are also some of the issues pets have during summer. She says, “When dogs don’t want to have their regular food, customers want to offer snacks to their pets. Everything from gravies, chew sticks, soft chicken bones, beef rolls and hamburgers for dogs are available with us”.

Karuppiah Pet Paradise also has a pharmacy attached to it. “Medicines are sold on a valid prescription only. We have stocked up on deworming tablets, summer is when most of the customers deworm their pets”. The store is located at 39, Oliver Road, Mylapore. Ph: 8939802936.
