Members of Sriram Nagar Residents Association at Alwarpet distribute masks and provisions

The members of Alwarpet based Sriram Nagar Residents Association have been busy helping civic officials and the police this past week.

Hariharan. L, an active member and volunteer of the association, says, “We collected Rs. 23500 out of which we handed over Rs. 5000 to Vinod, the Ramky supervisor of the Mylapore zone, and his team. We also handed over 7 reusable masks worth Rs. 945 to the police officials at the E3 police station at Teynampet. We have placed an order for 7 hand sanitizers which we will distribute soon. Rs. 10000 was given to the Mylapore MLA R. Nataraj who has handed over the same to the trusts that he has been working with”.

The members collected an additional Rs. 10000 and handed over the same to Bhoomika Trust. The trust facilitated the distribution of provision and sanitation kits to 10 Ramky workers (seen in the picture).
