Mylapore Head Post office uses pulse oximeter to check oxygen levels of its staff

To prevent virus spread, Mylapore Head Post office off Kutchery Road is now using a pulse oximeter to check oxygen levels of its staff.

Since the lockdown, the post office has been open to provide essential service to the public.

Says a staff at the post office, “As we interact with many people and handle cash, there is a high possibility for us to get infected. To avoid that, we are using a pulse oximeter now.”

“If any staff is found having low oxygen levels, he/she will be advised to get a medical examination done,” she says.

Besides, she says that all staff are provided with fresh masks, gloves and hand sanitizers regularly. “Our temperatures are checked daily using thermal scanners. We also drink kabasura kudineer to boost our immunity.”
