Police officer G. Shashank Sai has been appointed the Deputy Police Commissioner of the Mylapore zone in Chennai. The IPS officer was expected to take charge soon.
The DCP’s office is in the campus of the Mylapore police station on Kutchery Road.
Sai takes over from his colleague Shekhar Sanjay who recently rejoined duty after recovering from a mild attack of the virus.
The offices of the ACPs are also located on this campus.
This appointment is part of a host of transfer of police officer effected a couple of days ago. Recently, Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal took charge as the new Chennai city police commissioner.
