Virus cases have drastically reduced post intense lockdown, says Chennai Corporation official attached to zone 9

A Chennai Corporation official attached to zone 9 says that Mylapore is witnessing a drastic decrease in virus cases post the intense lockdown.

Says a Chennai Corporation official attached to zone 9 (Teynampet zone), “Virus cases in Mylapore have drastically come down now. Prior to intense lockdown, out of 100 virus tests taken at least, 80 would turn positive. But now, for the same number of tests, only 40 or 50 people are turning positive.”

He says that cases have also come down in the Teynampet zone.

“However, we continue to carry out intensive virus testing to ensure that no cases are missed out. We have also started organising fever camps at popular markets and provision stores in the zone.”

Recently, a fever camp was also held at the vegetable market at South Mada Street in Mylapore.

  1. My request,

Many over confident heroes will immediately unmask and make others sick with their droplets!
Will not wash hands and touch foodstuffs .
Just because number has shown downward trend, it is false positive as there are huge drops in caution among people as lockdowns have eased.

So please do not put up news when its not in a fully safe stage.
This kind of news at this stage in toomuch too early!
