With Onam just around the corner, a few restaurants in Mylapore are offering special ‘sadhya’ for the festival.
At Thaligai restaurant in Luz Church Road, sadhya will be offered on August 29 and August 31.
Chakka/palada pradhaman, kaalan, olan, varuthu aracha sambhar, red rice, and pineapple rasam are some items on their sadhya menu.
One can dine in to have sadhya here from 11.30 am to 3 pm, on these days. People can also opt for takeaways. Price – Rs 525 for dining. Takeaways cost Rs 575.

The Onam special sadhya at Ente Keralam restaurant in Alwarpet will have 30 Kerala style dishes. It will include nei paruppu, aviyal, thoran, kalan, rice (kerala rice/white rice), 4 types of pickles (including manga, lemon), kachiya mor, and 4 varieties of payasam.
The restaurant has been offering sadhya from Aug.21. It will also offer a special sadhya with additional dishes on Onam day (Aug.31)
