Herbal tea and sukku malli coffee sold at this new coffee joint in Mylapore has become quite popular now.
Every evening, several customers are seen dropping here to have these beverages.
Mylai Coffee Hut opened a few weeks ago at R.K. Mutt Road, opposite to Vetri Vilaas hotel.
Says A. Suhasini, the owner of the shop, “Given the current scenario, people are wanting to boost their immunity. And so many are drinking sukku malli coffee and herbal tea these days.”
She says that samosa, cutlet, sandwich (veg, masala, chilli cheese) are also moving well. “Our elaichi tea has become a hit too.”
The shop also sells a range of other coffee (black, elaichi, karupatti) and tea (lemon, black ginger, cinnamon mint) varieties. 
Soups like veg soup, sweet corn soup and snacks including Osmania biscuits and Thanjavur special poli, made of Bengal gram dal and coconut milk, fruit juice and milkshakes are also sold here.
Herbal tea is priced at Rs. 25.
