The Universal Temple at Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore is now open to devotees for darshan only

Today morning, the Universal Temple at Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore opened their doors to the public. Devotees will have to follow a queue into and out the temple and will not be allowed to sit down in the campus to meditate.

Swami Naravarananda, the head PRO of the Math says, “The Math is open for darshan only. Parking is not available inside the Math. Devotees can enter through the main gate and they have to leave their footwear in the stand there. They then have to wash their feet and sanitize their hands. We have set up a temporary shrine near the gate and the devotees who wish to offer flowers, fruits and other offerings can leave it near that shrine. We will offer it after sanitizing the same”.

Devotees must wear masks and markings have been placed at a distance of about 8 feet inside the temple. Barricades have been set up inside the temple and volunteers will guide the devotees into and out the temple.

The temple will be open from 8.45 to 10.45 a.m. and from 5 to 6 p.m. everyday. For details contact the Math at 24621110.
