Mylapore Head Post Office at Kutchery Road is now providing a number of services through its ‘Know Your Postman’ initiative.
Using the initiative, people can get doorstep postal services via their areas’ postman.
Services including postal account opening, deposit/withdrawal of cash from postal savings account, and Aadhar enabled payment services can be availed through this facility.
To use the service, one is required to know his/her area’s postman. And then contact the post office to get the service done through the respective postman or woman.

Said Ganapathy, a postman from Mylapore Head Post Office, “All of us postmen have been given a tablet. The device is preinstalled with an App that enables us to perform the services at people’s doorstep.”
