Tuesday was sunshine day. A full day of sunshine it was.
And a welcome one after a long spell of cyclonic weather, rain and flooding in many a street.
It was a day to wash and dry the clothes and furnishing.
And on the sands of the Marina beach, south of the light house, there were saris, bedsheets, clothes, pillow covers and much more that had been put out to dry.
The residents of the blocks in the Nochi kuppam and Dooming kuppam used the sunshine day to dry clothes in the open, in a place that is part of their lives.
