Assembly elections: more polling booths created to address pandemic condition

If you are a keen voter and keep an eye on elections, then this news is for you.

The polling booths in every Assembly constituency have been increased – due to pandemic times.

And this comes in the lead up to elections to the state Assembly which could be held in late April – early May this year.

It is learnt that new booths have been created not beyond 2 kms from booths that cater to a fairly large number of voters.

In order to sensitise people to the new booths and related issues, street-level campaigns will roll in the next few days.

Mylapore constituency is to have over 400 polling booths now and so will Velachery ( the far south west and east end areas of the Mylapore zone fall under this constituency).
