As part of a beautification plan around the Nageswara Rao Park, civic staff of the Mylapore zone were at work this weekend at the junction of Luz Avenue and Ramachandra Road.
Cement patch-up work was in progress. A GCC official said the plan was to plant a number of saplings at this junction, mostly flower bearing plants to make this intersection colourful and pleasing to the eye.
There is a big tree at this junction and the plan is to plant saplings around this tree.
Once the cement patch up work is completed the official said they would finalise the sapling varieties and that this could take place soon.
