On Marina, police shut off access to service road but pavement gets crowded with walkers

This Monday morning onwards, police have begun to strictly deny access to walkers and visitors to the Marina beach service road.

People are allowed to walk or exercise on the pavement and this is making even that space crowded, especially in the section from the Light House and Gandhi statue, as was seen this morning.

And not all people wear their masks properly.

  1. The crowd is not as big as the one which used to be before pandemic. The people look crowded as pavements are narrow to cater to walkers to and fro.

The service road can be opened and the pavements closed. That way the not-so-big crowd would spread out.

Another option may be making pavement s one way. Go ahead and cross road and walk back.

I felt this as am a regular walker and jogger in the place!!
