P. Paulraj, the Headmaster at Chennai High School on Canal Bank Road, R. A. Puram got the senior students to mark the re-opening day (01.09.2021) by planting saplings on this campus.
He says the students were also given talks on how humans, animals and the environment depend upon trees.
This school needs some attention by Chennai Corporation. The Mylapore MLA has also been petitioned.
Also, its strength has fallen steeply as many families have been shifted to the outskirts of the city when the civic body cleared all those who lived on the Canal banks.
