‘Old’ student of St. Bede’s becomes judge of Madras High Court

A ‘old’ student of St. Bede’s AI Hr Secondary School in San Thome has become a judge of the Madras High Court.

He is Justice Mohammed Shaffiq.

He was sworn in as a judge along with three others this week.

Justice Mohammed Shaffiq was born at Mannady in Chennai and his father S.M. Abdul Khadar was a lawyer at the Madras High Court.

Shaffiq graduated from Government Law College, Chennai and has had 27 years of legal practice.
