Carollers sing in public spaces in San Thome colonies for Cathedral parishioners

On three misty late evenings last weekend, the carol singing group of San Thome’s Cathedral carried the spirit of Christmas to many a corner of this neighbourhood.

Guided by Fr. Ritchie Vincent, assistant parish priest at the Cathedral, a dozen plus young carollers got into a little van, music instruments and all and slipped into many a street or a lane of San Thome and sang carols at various street corners.

“We chose two or three spots in each zone where our parishioners reside and sang carols,” said Fr Vincent. “People who could, gathered around us.”

At some points, the carollers, some attired in Santa Claus costumes received cake pieces or cookies given by church-goers.
