Sunaadalahari’s December Season music fest from Dec.15. Limited admission to garden venue.

Sunaadalahari’s own December Season music fest is perhaps the only one of its kind, for it allows artistes and rasikas to be seated in a tastefully raised garden of a bungalow off C P Ramaswamy Road in Alwarpet.

It is on from December 15 to 28, with concerts and lec-dems.

This musical wing of the Indira Ranganathan Trust aims to support and promote artistes and is managed under the guidance of guru Suguna Varadachari.

With the support received from rasikas last year, the Trust extended financial support to 96 artistes who were impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, says a note from the Trust.

This Season’s concerts are also going for a cause – to support Aadivasi livelihood and marginalised artistes impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, says Aishwarya Shankar, artiste and researcher who also is a key player in the Trust’s work.

The music festival will be held live at the garden amphitheatre.

Apart from general ticketed seats, there are a few free seats (pre-registration required) and concession tickets for students/musicians. A ticket-booking kiosk is available at the venue – 52, C P Ramasamy Road – to help senior citizens with ticketing needs.

Rasikas can also purchase tickets for HD live streaming (replay included) of the concerts.
