The Mylapore Trio ( Amarnath, Surendranath and Aparna), Sugathan and members of Sri Sumukhi Rajasekharan Memorial Foundation organised the 20th year Bala Vidhwan Bavani on January 1.
This is an annual tradition of the group but this year, children had to be kept away due to pandemic regulations.
A handful of people went around the mada veedhis singing bhajans, namavalis and performing naatyam and kummi.
The Mylapore Trio started this bavani in 2003 ‘to inculcate spiritual and cultural values to children’.
Apart from the Mylapore Trio, Sivabala has been continuously taking part in this bavani for the past 20 years.
