As part of the Ratha Saptami celebrations, lord Srinivasa Perumal of Sri Vedantha Desikar temple went on a Chandra Prabhai street procession starting at 8pm on Tuesday.
Devotees on Kesava Perumal Sannidhi Street were in for a twin treat that evening.
Shortly after 7.30pm, lord Kesava Perumal made his way back from Chandra Prabhai procession with devotees lining up the street to welcome him back.
This was immediately followed by the departure of lord Srinivasa Perumal from the Vedantha Desikar Temple for a procession around the four big streets with Prabhandham members leading the way and the Vedic scholars following the lord in the procession.
