The sacred Lagna Patrikai event announcing the specifics of each of the days of the annual Panguni Brahmotsavam at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 12.
The details of each of the vahana processions will be read out by the temple’s hereditary priest. This event marks the official confirmation of the Brahmotsavam.
The evening will begin with the maha -abishekam at 5.30pm. Following this, the hereditary priest will read out the Lagna Patrikai.
As part of this event, Kapaleeswarar and Karpagambal will be taken out in a procession inside the temple late that Saturday evening.
It is clear from this development that access to the public to the festival events will be as in normal times. As of now, there is no bar on people visiting temples following relaxation of pandemic time rules.
