This morning, the silver-plated mooshika vahana at Sri Kapaleeswarar Temple was polished by workers. It will carry lord Pillayar at 10pm tonight ( Tuesday) on the eve of the start of the Panguni utsavam
A. Srikanth, who manages the temple’s nandavanam, has been in charge of the polishing work of the vahana for the last two decades. He oversaw the work through the morning.
Since most vahanams are in good shape, they have not been taken out for repairs or painting works.
