The Crafts Council of India’s bi-annual ‘Textile Show’ is to be held on July 22 and 23 at the MRC Centre in R A Puram.
It will showcase a collection of saris, fabrics and made-ups from looms across the country.
This collection, marrying traditional weaves with contemporary designs will cover bridal-wear, unique styles for festivals, weddings, shows and social meets.
30 leading textile designers are participating in this event – people like Salma Khan, Anoop Rai and Abdul Wahab Haiderali Khatri and Soham Dave, to name a few.
MRC Centre is in the campus of Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Centre, near Sri Ayyappa Temple, R A Puram.
