Today is a day to remember that great music composer, artiste and guru Papansam Sivan, whose life was intricately connected to Mylapore.
Papanasam Sivan Rasikar Sangam is hosting an event this Monday evening (Sept.26) at Narada Gana Sabha, Alwarpet. The event starts with a group singing of what is called the Kapaleesarar Pancharatnam, traced to Sivan’s own work.
Dr S. Sowmya, vice chancellor of Dr J Jayalalitha Music and Fine Arts University, R A Puram is the chief guest at the formal event and she will confer a title on vocalist Abhishek Raghuram.
Abhishek will later present a concert. Open to all.
