The Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Centre , R A Puram was buzzing with a grand wedding ceremony. However it was a wedding of different kind.
The residents of MRC Nagar — One 74 Ceebros, Rani Meyyamai Towers, Jains Sagarika, The Lords among other apartment blocks and independent houses organised a two day event — Radha Kalyanam for Sri Radha Rani Sametha and Sri Laddu Gopal adorned with flowers and jewels.
This was on Oct.16.
It was held in Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Centre. Sri Srinathdas Maharaj son of Sri Vittaldas Maharaj from Govindapuram conducted Radha Kalyanam reciting the Divyanaamam, Guru Keerthanai, Sampradaya Bhajanai, Naama Sankeerthanam, Ashthapathi.
The event was the result of a lot of work put in by community committees who communicated via WhatsApp locally.
The event concluded with a cultural variety entertainment programme performed by the children and adults of MRC Nagar.
