Murali Deli, a cafe is a part of Murali’s Market in Venus Colony in Alwarpet and it serves food all through the day – from 8 am onwards – breakfast to dinner.
Hot chai / coffee, appam, dosa and oothappam are on its breakfast menu. Also offered are masala, keerai and medu vadais. Dosas are priced around Rs 120, vadai at Rs 65
During lunch time, the menu stays the same as at breakfast time but there is also chappathi / parotta with side dishes – prepared at the cafe.
For lunch, the pre-packed freshly made food menu covers sambar rice, coconut rice, lemon rice, curd rice and mor-kali – all sourced from Krishna’s centralised kitchen/stock space in T Nagar. You get a small container of poriyal along with any of the rice varieties.
Cut fruits, Pidi kozhukkattai and Kuzhi ppaniyaram are also on offer – priced around Rs 80.
After 3 pm, you get snacks here. Bajji, bonda, pizza and sandwiches. Also on offer are Boli varieties – sweet and karam – at Rs 70 each – prepared fresh. Chaat items and cakes are available across the counter in the bakery section.
Past 7 p.m., you can order dosa, appam, chappathi and parotta, served with side dishes. Fresh juices are available.
Murali Deli is at the junction of Murray’s Gate Road and Venus Colony 1st Street in Alwarpet.
If their delivery boys are free, they can deliver in the Alwarpet – Abiramapuram zone.
