A small group of children and elders enjoyed a late morning puppet show at Children’s Club in Mylapore on Sunday.
Hosted in association with INTACH, senior and awarded puppeteer Muthuchandran and his associates at the Club campus off V. M. Street, the show brought a traditional craft closer to those present.
Muthuchandran allowed children to take a look at the leather puppets and answer their questions.
He and his troupe are on their way to Varanasi to perform at the Kashi – Tamil Sangamam.
Children’s Club now hosts select indoor and outdoor activities for children and has plans to offer short-term sport/hobby training and leisure games to engage children and draw them into the outdoors.
