Clarke School for the Deaf hosts workshop for Chennai Corporation school teachers

The Clarke School for the Deaf, a 53 year old institute in Mylapore conducted  a workshop on “Awareness on Dyslexia” and on “Early intervention of the disabled”  for teachers of Chennai Corporation schools who admit children with special needs who then study along with normal children under the inclusive education system.

The Clarke School programme was to create awareness and continue the learnings through such programmes in the future.

School secretary Srikanth says he wanted schools / teachers to connect with them on the school’s website  www.theclarkeschool.com and see how best such programmes can be conducted.

He said he and his team was keen to share their own experiences with other teachers.
