R. I. Palani back in TN Cricket Association’s team as Secretary

R I Palani, who had served as the Joint Secretary of the TN Cricket Association for four years and anchored the TNPL on the ground, is now back at the premier cricket association as its secretary.
During his stint as the Joint Secretary, he was actively involved in the day to day affairs of the TNCA. The TNPL was launched during that phase and it was Palani who played a key role in ensuring that everything went as per plan at the three locations of Tirunelveli, Natham and Chennai.
Unmindful of the strenuous scheduling of the TNPL, he would move from one location to another to oversee the activities.
Former Secretary of the TNCA and now CEO of CSK, K S Viswanthan told Mylapore Times that Palani
is one of the most hardworking and dedicated cricketer-turned-administrators. “He is meticulous in executing his work and is a great team man,” said Viswanathan.
Palani played for Indian Bank in the first division in the 1980s and 90s.
He is also the man behind the summer cricket coaching at St. Bedes ground.
He hasĀ been a long time resident of Mylapore.
