The community of Mandaveli Raja Street Residents Welfare Association, Mandaveli propose to conduct the 7th theme based Kolam competition and Pongal festival in Raja Street in Mandaveli on January 26.
The Rangoli/Kolam competition is based on the theme மூவண்ண முழக்கம் – Moovanna Muzhakkam- The Tricolor Roar.
Residents of Raja Street and neighbouring areas can participate. Others from Mylapore can take part too. Each team will comprise of 5 members exhibiting their creativity and imagination depicting the theme in a colourful style in huge 6×6 Kolam slots provided to them.

The event will start with unfurling of the Indian flag followed by cultural events.
The Kolams will be judged and sponsored prizes will be given away.
