One of the grand, vintage houses on the mada streets is up for rentals.
The house, some 4000 sq ft. across two floors now has a banner hanging on its balcony, inviting offers for commercial use.
The current owner says he bought this house from the previous owners. Till some years ago, one of the members of this family, a dermatologist ran her clinic on the ground floor. Other members were based abroad.
The current owner says he has received a few calls of interest for commercial use of the space and insists he wants his clients to retain the vintage features of this house.
If a business that deals a lot with shoppers – like textiles, consumer goods, restaurants – shows interest in being located at a vintage space , there is zero parking space around and this will discourage clients.
