The Ranade Library in Luz, that little quiet airy space below the more well-known Srinivasa Sastri Hall, hosted the formal release of ‘Lockdown Journal Chennai on Saturday evening.

Some 15 of the 30 plus contributors to this unique magazine were present.

The magazine’s editor, Praveena Shivram who curated the contents formally released the magazine.  Editor-publisher Vincent D’ Souza then initiated an informal conversation where the contributors shared memories of their life during the pandemic and the circumstances in which they created what was now published.

All the content had been posted online as and when it was ready. Now, all this has been published as a book.

The weekend event was made possible by South India National Association which manages this space.
