Last weekend, a big group of enthusiastic residents at Jeevan Bhima enclave located off Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai came together to celebrate Thamizh Putthandu.
And this was done for a cause.
Eedhal Inidhu, the theme for the celebration had its focus on the joy of giving. Stalls selling snacks, handicrafts and offering fun games were set up; these had been specially designed by the colony’s youths and adults.
The fete was open to residents and their guests.
The funds raised from these stalls were donated to Kanavu, an NGO supporting the education of girl children.
