It drizzled as Srinivasa Perumal’s chariot procession on Sunday morning makes its way

A drizzle half way into the chariot procession led the Prabhandham ghosti and Vedic members to beat a hasty retreat back to the temple. The seventh day of the Vaikasi Brahmotsavam at Sri Vedanta Desikar Devasthanam, Mylapore.
The temple regulars had made their way to the temple at 7am  on a cloudy Sunday morning to pull the chariot  and hope this would be a pleasant experience after the nasty hot days the past fortnight here.
Devotees also gathered in good numbers to have darshan of Srinivasa Perumal atop the chariot.
It took just over two hours for the chariot to go around the four streets with the beautifully decorated Srinivasa Perumal returning to the temple after 9am  even as Prabhandham and Vedic members were reciting the sacred verses inside the temple.
