It is that time of the year when Mylapore Times Charitable Trust (MTCT) launches a twin campaign – seeks applications from Mylapore zone schools of students of Class 10 and Class 12 who need part-funding to pursue studies so they can be supported.
Also, the Trust seeks donations from people to enhance this project’s objectives.
Already, two schools have sent in applications of their Std.10 pass students. Letters have been sent to 18 schools seeking applications.
Donations of any amount are accepted – Rs.500 to Rs.5,000.
They can be made via online bank payment or collected by Mylapore Times staff at your doorstep. IT exemption is available that has bene granted to MTCT.
This year, the Trust expects to donate at least Rs.3 lakhs to about 25 plus students. And it needs donations of at least Rs.2 lakhs; the rest will be made by Mylapore Times from the profits it makes the past year.
Over the last 20 years, over 400 students have gained in small ways from the MTCT funding.
