A Vacation Bible School is held every year during the summer vacation at CSI Good Shepherd Church / Mylapore on TTK Road.
This year, it was held from April 27. Around 320 children from ages 3 to 16 attended. There were 36 teachers who took classes based on the syllabus given by the CSI Chennai diocese.
A cultural programme was held on May 7, the finale, and was attended by the children, their parents and relatives.
The director of the Vacation Bible School, Nightingale welcomed the gathering and the programme commenced with an opening prayer by pastor Rev. Earnest Selva Durai. The VBS report was read by another VBS director, Rejoice Immanuel.
It was followed by a cultural programme that comprised dance, skits, singing, Bible verse memory recitation and a song by the teachers too.
Secretary of the pastorate committee Y. Bhuvanesh Kumar said that many church members and volunteers lent a helping hand to make the Vacation Bible School a success.
