The CPI (M) unit of Alwarpet zone along with ward 123 councillor Saraswathi who also is from the CPI (M) are campaigning for the closure of the TASMAC liquor shop on Thiruvalluvar Salai.
A party member informs that the members are seeking signatures from residents on a petition to this effect after distributing handbills on this issue.
