Raja Muthiah Higher Secondary School, R. A. Puram, honoured its ‘old’ student Dr. S. Devaji Rao, surgeon at Chennai Meenakshi Multi-specialty Hospital.
This event was held on July 15 at the school premises.
The honour was done to recognise the doctor on his being decorated with the Academic Excellence Award by IMA – TNSB.
Dr. Rao’s mathematics teacher (during 1960 – 1966), L. Arumugam and presently the secretary of the school, presented the doctor with a shawl and a memento.
During this function, prizes donated by the Alumni Association, were distributed to outstanding students of this school.
