As per the new traffic rule, vehicles from the Gandhi statue side on Kamaraj Salai headed to San Thome will be diverted at Light House junction, move on to Loop Road, swing past the MTC terminus at Pattinampakkam and head to Adyar or use the South Canal Bank Road junction – to head to Mandaveli / R A Puram side.

Vehicles moving east from the Karaneeswarar Koil Street have to, at the San Thome High Road junction, take the left turn and proceed towards Light House. Vehicles will not be allowed to turn right.

  1. Yesterday night, I was coming from airport by cab and it was smooth but after entering mylapore, it was total mess and I blame mylapore police who have no interest in smooth movement in peak time. From mahalakshmi Narayan st to south Mada st, it took 45 mts with total khaos

    1. Same Route — as you cross Malar Bridge– head straight take U turn by the Metro Wall and go on to Santhome High Road ( because you cant go down the road towards Mandavalli Terminus as before as they have blocked it and even St. John’s Right Cut is Blocked)
Proceed Straight to Foreshore Estate — Santhome Church — Up to Light House is ALL ONE WAY !!!

  2. Senior citizens are facing lot of difficult to travel in a bus from Mylapore to Chennai Egmore/Vara palani/T Nagar etc. If MTC will introduce circular route mini bus service from Mylapore to various places may reduce the burden. We have been forced to walk or incur heavy charge on travelling by an auto. Will TN government look into it?
