Free clinic opened for R. A. Puram community. Basic consultation to be offered

Raja Annamalaipuram Residents Association (RAPRA) opened a free clinic in R. A. Puram – at No.2, 7th Main Road. The event was held on Sunday ( March 10).

Rajagopal – MD of Sangeetha group of restaurants, cut the ribbon, to formally open this little clinic.

This service is supported with funds from donors. It will operate from 10 am to 1 pm, with a senior doctor offering consultation for common and minor ailments.

Medicines will be given free of cost to the needy. The clinic is only for the R. A. Puram community.

A RAPRA member said that residents often need a general physician for treatment of common minor ailments and they find that GPs are limited and often they have to go to hospitals even for minor issues.

Residents can also discuss with the doctor to have second opinion on treatment they are currently undergoing

One of the consultants offering free service is Dr. Satyamurthy, cardiologist, Apollo Hospitals

Today, the clinic started functioning with Dr. Parthasarathy, chest specialist and the doctor in charge of the free clinic.
