Panguni fest of Sri Kapali Temple: V. Sriram to host heritage walk. March 17

Writer-historian V. Sriram will host a heritage walk themed on the annual Panguni Uthiram fest  of Sri Kapali Temple on Sunday, March 17.

The festival begins on March 16, with the traditional hoisting of the temple standard. For ten days, the deities will be brought in procession twice a day, on various mounts. Sunday, March 17 will mark the first of the processional outings at around 9.00 am.

On this walk, Sriram will share stories about the festival, its unique traditions and customs. It starts at 6 am and is for two hours and ends with breakfast. Fee – Rs 1050 per head inclusive of GST
