The Children’s Club Society held its 26th annual inter–school competitions during January and February 2025.
Some 350 children from 30 city schools participated in various competitions that included Carnatic vocal, and instrumental, bhajans, folk music and storytelling in Tamil / English /Hindi.
An art competition for children was also held; this one being the most popular event of this annual event of the Club.
The T. R. V. Sastri Rolling Cup was won by P. S. Senior Secondary School and the runner-up prize, Dr.
Balasundaram Shield, was bagged by DAV Girls Senior Secondary School and Sri
Sankara Senior Secondary School who tied on points.
The Club’s Founder’s Day event and prize distribution took place on February 23 at the Kasturi Srinivasan Hall, The Music Academy campus.
The guests for the event were Prithvi Sekhar, an international-level tennis player and Renu Narayan, a popular storyteller. They took turns to give away the prizes.
The Children’s Club is located off V. M. Street and offers a variety of activities for children.
