Koothapiran Children’s Academy: launch of new set of classes in music, dance, acting

Late Koothapiran, well-known theatre-person and radio broadcaster is being remembered by his son now with a new plan for the children’s academy that has been run in Koothapiran’s name.
The revived academy is being launched at an event to be held at a hall at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore on  November 9, 10 a m onwards.  

( Besides his passion for theatre, Koothapiran –  his name was N. V. Natarajan – he produced children’s programmes for All India Radio for over 25 years and was fondly called Vanoli Anna, a name remembered even today by a generation which enjoyed these radio productions)
His son, Ratnam Koothapiran says  he has broad-based the activities of the Koothapiran Children’s Academy which is based in Thiruvanmiyur.
“Our aim is to  engage children in music, dance, drama and other art forms by training them at our classes and also helping them perform live,” said Ratnam.
