Mridangam vidwan Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman’s UKS E-school of music and a IT consulting firm are jointly hosting a music festival at Srinivasa Sastri Hall, Luz. From Nov.29 to Dec.8.
20 young artistes will perform at this fest. The highlight of the event is a lec-dem series in four parts titled – Splendour in the Dynamics of the Mridangam – which features Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman and scientist Dr. T. Ramaswami – on Dec.6, 7 and 8. These two have worked on the mridangam-focussed subject for many years.
