Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, the BJP’s candidate for Mylapore in the recent elections, who lost, said she ‘promises to pay attention to Mylapore’ in the future.
Below is her note posted on her ‘X page –
Thanking all the voters of Mylapore those who voted for me. I promise to pay attention for Mylapore constituency grievances and assure my level best to solve by taking it to the concerned authorities.
Her candidature came in for criticism from all around, with some barbs being severe.
Though the BJP has had a MLA here in the past and many assume it has substantial supporters in Mylapore zone, that swell of support did not show up much in the run up to the polling day.
The BJP candidate’s votes polled totalled 32,328. She stood third, behind DMK’s Dha Velu who got 41,098.
