Dha Velu, the DMK’s candidate for Mylapore and a sitting MLA who lost by a huge margin on May 4, has penned a long note in verses in Tamil on ‘X”, his social media page that he revived after he was chosen to contest this election.
While thanking his party men and all those who voted for him, Veku says that he will continue to address the needs and calls of the people of Mylapore.
Velu lost to TVK’s P. Venkataramanan by a huge margin. The contest here was expected to be tough and close one but the margins were a big surprise and reflected the pro-TVK mood across the state.
Velu had shut his office in the GCC complex in Alwarpet once elections were announced: he had shifted here from an office on the opposite side.
