Leaders of the film world have been streaming in to the residence of late film producer R B Choudhary located off Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai, Mylapore to pay their respects. Choudhary died in an accident in Rajasthan on May 5.
One of his sons is the popular actor, Jiva.
Choudhary, who was in the steel and exports business, started producing films in Malayalam under the ‘Super’ banner. Later, he focussed on producing Tamil films under the S’uper Good’ banner.
He was known for giving young actors and directors a break and many of his films were box office successes. His film ‘Poove Unakkaga’ starring Vijay, now TVK party leader and CM-designate was a big hit.
Film goers recall that a Super Good film was guaranteed to be a family entertainer.
