The RKMVC Alumni Association celebrated the 80th anniversary of RKM Vivekananda College on May 2 at Obul Reddy auditorium of the college.
Members of the core committee of the Alumni Association were present.

Dr. Panchatcharam served as the master of ceremonies, while Dr. Ramanathan welcomed
the dignitaries and the gathering of around 150 alumni members.
Swami Dhyanagamyananda, secretary of the college, highlighted the significant contributions made by the institution’s alumni to several prestigious projects. He also appealed to all alumni to extend their continued support in transforming the college into an icon of excellence.
T. S. Vijayaraghavan, IAS (retd.), an alumnus of the 1957 batch and special guest, fondly recalled how his association with Viveka played a crucial role in his success at the IAS interview.
Dr. Ramana who is founder-chairman and trustee of the ITM Group of Institutions was another special guest.
College principal Dr. Kumaresan thanked the Alumni Association for its efforts.
A light music concert was presented by “Paadarivom Padiparivom” troupe of Naggeswarran, an alumus who runs it with his father, also an 2004 alumnus of the college – joining the team were differently abled artistes.
